Here at Fluency, we pride ourselves on our people. After all, without them, we wouldn’t be nearly as innovative, savvy, and resourceful–so we asked them: Why Fluency? More specifically, what makes our employees proud to work at Fluency and what keeps them going?

Getting to Know Michelle Arnold, Talent Manager

Meet Michelle Arnold, Fluency’s Talent Manager who joins us from Chicago, IL thanks to our remote-first model.

As a Talent Manager, Michelle gets the opportunity to meet and interview interesting people across the country for Fluency’s remote team. “I typically end up learning something new and enjoy providing candidates with opportunities and helping others make connections,” she says. Of the many things that she finds valuable about Fluency, the top might just be the constant collaboration, transparent communication and leadership support and encouragement. “We all work proactively so collectively we’re prepared as we scale,” Michelle adds.

Michelle also leads the charge on all of our diversity and inclusion initiatives—such as providing continued learning opportunities through company-wide knowledge shares and adjusting benefits to meet the needs of Fluency’s current and future teams. Each knowledge share is focused on bringing awareness to the history of important holidays such as Juneteenth, ADA Anniversary, Women’s Equality Day and Pride month. “Inclusion and belonging simply makes people feel comfortable and gives them the confidence to contribute. This is the environment that we built, thoughtfully maintain and will continue to evolve as we grow. Everyone is valued and we pride ourselves on genuinely caring about our people.”

Outside of work, Michelle is active in her community and very family-oriented. She is married to her high school sweetheart—and that’s not the only charming factor about her life. She has four kids—ranging from 6th grade all the way to college—plus a black lab named Nicolette with a special skill. Michelle says she “can open doors and let herself in and out of the house.”

We love hearing stories about Michelle’s neighborhood and family, especially her hilarious mom’s commentary on work, life and everything in between.
