Accounting Manager

Job Summary:
As the Accounting Manager you’ll be responsible for the integrity of the company’s account and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is a detailed oriented, accomplished accounting professional with a history of leading finance functions within a fast-paced organization. Primary responsibilities include ownership of the accounting / finance department though driving financial projections and modeling and overseeing all accounting and finance functions including; closing process, customer billing operations, accounts receivable management, accounts payable, payroll, insurance and risk management, as well as being responsible for all technical accounting research and treasury administration. The Senior Financial Accountant will also be part of the team that creates and implements controls, policies and procedures across all operating areas of the business. This position reports directly to the Head of Finance.

Your Role:

Oversee and administer

  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions in accordance with GAAP
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Support business leaders with innovative financial analysis and present compelling, data-driven insights to help the business make more informed decisions
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders and become a trusted advisor to develop an in depth understanding of business drivers, costs and revenue
  • Annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting
  • Manage year end audits along with statutory filings in a variety of jurisdictions
  • Accounts payable
  • Payroll and expense reimbursements
  • Accounts receivable processing and customer communication as needed
  • Journal entries and trial balance preparation along with supporting documentation
  • Develop and maintain department process documentation

Responsible and accountable for all areas of revenue recognition and revenue operations including:

  • Billing and collections
  • Contract review
  • Revenue recognition
  • Sales tax liability review
  • Updating internal reports

Responsible and accountable for all aspects of GAAP financial reporting

  • Review of technical accounting matters
  • Preparation of standard monthly management reporting package (including board material support)
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements

Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

  • Strong US GAAP, ideally with a strong understanding of recurring revenue and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition for Contracts
  • Excellent analytical abilities, problem solving skills and business acumen
  • Strong financial and business modeling skills with experience building financial models
  • 2+ years of payroll accounting experience
  • Active CPA licensure preferred
  • Accounting degree (BS/BA required, MSA/MBA preferred)

Content Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

As the Content Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, developing and implementing Fluency’s overall content strategy while also overseeing execution. You will combine a passion for written storytelling and proven ability to write compellingly across digital channels with a strategic mindset and curiosity about the ad tech landscape to help us become the definitive thought leader in our category while driving business results. To accomplish this, you will own our overall editorial calendar and strategy, ensuring that it effectively supports brand awareness, demand generation, and customer success programs across paid, earned, and owned media. You will also leverage your ability to effectively collaborate with - and ghostwrite for - a wide variety of stakeholders, while managing production and delivery targets.

Your Role:

  • Lead the development and execution of the vision, strategy and budget for all content marketing and growth initiatives
  • Produce content for blogs, articles, websites, emails, webinars, social media and other formats.
  • Research content performance, customer behavior data and competitors’ strategies.  
  • Enforce style guidelines, deadlines and budgets for content teams
  • Create and manage an editorial calendar
  • Review and edit content for social media posts, blogs, white papers, website landing pages and other media.
  • Creation of programs and campaigns that engage and grow a user base from signup through conversion, engagement, and advocacy
  • Build strong relationships with all respective counterparts including Marketing, Design, Product, Sales, HR and other departments
  • Evaluate content performance metrics and make adjustments to content strategy

What We Look For:

  • Experience writing and editing content for blogs, articles, whitepapers, infographics, emails, ebooks and other media.
  • Proven ability to write and/or produce video assets (storyboards, treatments, scripts)
  • In-depth understanding of the company's brand voice and how to translate it into content style guidelines
  • In-depth knowledge of the HubSpot Content Optimization System.
  • Experience in producing smart CTAs according to the visitor lifecycle stage.
  • Knowledge of how to enforce content strategies across different teams and departments.
  • Emotional intelligence and cognitive flexibility are a must; you’ll be working with a wide variety of personalities and agendas against a sometimes time-challenged backdrop.

Director, Enterprise Sales

Job Summary:

A Director, Enterprise Sales position is one that is highly visible with internal teams, channel partners, and prospective clients.  They have a deep understanding of the Digital Marketing landscape, Advertising Strategies and Fluency’s platform; and are able to over-simplify complex digital marketing concepts to prospective client executives and can also get into details with execution specialists.  The Director is responsible for growing Fluency’s client base by directly cold calling, handling inbound leads, and closing new clients.

External Role Duties:

  • Identify and create relationships with new prospective clients.
  • Develop and Nurture relationships with channel partners to uncover new business.
  • Effectively demonstrate the Fluency Platform to various stakeholders within a prospective client’s organization including but not limited to users, directors / managers, and executives
  • Create compelling business cases for Fluency’s implementation within a prospective client’s organization
  • Maintain an organized routine of follow-up and outreach to generate new business.
  • Close new business.
  • Travel to meet with prospective clients & industry events, up to 35 percent, but typically less.

Internal Role Duties:

  • Maintain a pipeline and communicate to Executives.
  • Be the voice of the customer for internal teams.
  • Contribute to onboarding guide/best practices.
  • Organize / Support / Drive efforts to fully onboard new clients.
  • Contribute to internal education related to the digital marketing landscape and strategies.

Enterprise Implementation Manager

Job Summary:

Fluency combines all of the tools Digital Advertising teams need into one centralized and intuitive platform, using robotic process automation. Implementation is the first touchpoint with our new clients, and we’re looking for an Enterprise Implementation Manager (EIM) who can ensure they experience a seamless transition onto the Fluency platform. The EIM will be pivotal in ensuring the experience is smooth, and inspires our new enterprise clients to become platform adopters within the first 90 days.

The EIM has the primary responsibility of managing the project scope, schedule and deliverables of new client implementation. This role will partner with our onboarding team, to ensure onboarding matches our client’s business expectations including schedule, technical requirements, customer satisfaction, and billing.

The EIM will work closely with our new clients to establish a trusting relationship, while also holding them accountable to deadlines and deliverables. This role is highly collaborative, and requires a strong presence to keep clients and teams on task, while also preparing for post-implementation handoff.  This individual can manage multiple projects at once, and does not get overwhelmed easily.

The ideal candidate is flexible and communicative, while disciplined in their approach and delivery of work. They have a passion for lean processes, continuous improvement, client engagement and team collaboration. The EIM will have experience in digital advertising, project management, SaaS onboarding, and/or a passion for learning.

External Role Duties:

  • Operate as the primary point of contact for the onboarding timeline during implementation
  • Build key client assets, such as Kick-off deck, and Client Dashboard
  • Hold client accountable for all deliverables and deadlines
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, such as scheduling meetings, meeting notes, responding to client requests, etc.
  • Manage and communicate key health metrics during the onboarding process; produce and distribute weekly status reports, inclusive of timeline, billing, change requests, key issues and risks, including applicable KPIs, metrics, and upcoming milestones.
  • Manage post-implementation client satisfaction surveys

Internal Role Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with the internal team to ensure delivery of successful implementations.
  • Own and maintain Client Project Plan and Client Dashboard during Implementation.
  • Monitor implementation scope to ensure adherence with baselines and manage any material changes through a change control management process.
  • Manage a seamless handoff of ownership to Client Services team post-Implementation.
  • Report, evaluate, mitigate, and resolve risks and issues associated with the engagement in a timely fashion, escalating when necessary.
  • Play an active role in continuous improvement of the onboarding process; analyze and provide feedback on the implementation approach to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • Have a collaborative approach to work, and eagerness to keep Implementations on track.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders are included in all regular project updates, such as Weekly Status Reports, Stakeholder reports, or other communications
  • Be able to speak to project health at any point with internal stakeholders, such as Implementation Team Manager, Client Services, Product, Engineering and Sales teams.
  • Strive to stay current on Fluency’s feature set, and have a strong understanding of Digital Advertising best practices.

Required Experience:

  • Five plus years with software implementation and project management experience
  • Experience with paid media industry
  • Experience and comfortable communicating confidently with C-Level executives
  • Experience building project plans, and managing multiple projects at once
  • Knowledge of project management tools and multiple methodologies

Senior Software Engineer

Team Overview

The Fluency Engineering Team is detail-oriented and extraordinarily passionate about digital advertising. We blend the art and science of advertising into simple and scalable solutions to complex problems, and deliver leading edge software products to our customers.

The Fluency platform is built using a native AWS architecture.  We use RDS/MySQL, Java, Spring Boot, Elastic Beanstalk, JavaScript, Vue.js, S3 along with whatever else makes sense for the job at hand.

We're looking for our next talented back-end Senior Software Engineer to join us. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker that is highly motivated to execute and capable of wearing multiple hats every day. You will have strong leadership skills and must be comfortable self directing.  You will be required to self manage, including self learning, with the ability to write the best possible code while guiding others on best practices. As a Senior Software Engineer you will work closely with the entire engineering team and key stakeholders across the company to execute our strategic priorities.
