Fluency Tops the 2024 Vermont Business Growth Awards List with 37,156% Five-Year Growth Rate

Leader in digital advertising management and automation breaks record for Vermont business growth rate

Fluency, the leading digital advertising operating system for agencies and large enterprises, today announced that it has earned the top spot on the 2024 VermontBiz and TD Bank Vermont Business Growth Awards list.

The Vermont Business Growth Awards list recognizes businesses “whose annual revenues reveal that they are the fastest growing companies in Vermont over the last five years.” Fluency achieved a remarkable five-year growth rate of 37,156% and set a new record in the award's 22-year history.

“As a Vermont-grown company, we are honored to receive this recognition,” said Mike Lane, CEO. “Choosing to start and grow Fluency here was a choice we’d make a million times over. We are proud to contribute to the continued growth of the Vermont business community and grateful for those who have helped us thrive where we live.”

Fluency was founded in Vermont by Mike Lane, Eric Mayhew, Scott Gale, and Brian McVey. In less than six years, the company has landed on the Inc. 5000 two years in a row, as well as being named a Vermont Best Places to Work and BuiltIn’s Best Remote Company. Fluency has grown to nearly 100 employees (with over half of the company working in Vermont) and continues breaking new ground in the digital advertising industry.

At Fluency, we celebrate the diversity of our team, with people from various backgrounds, ages, and locations contributing their unique perspectives. We take pride in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.

Fluency’s Talent team, led by Michelle Arnold, focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while strengthening our vibrant company culture. The team emphasizes team member career development through onboarding, training, and growth opportunities. By promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, Fluency’s Talent team creates a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Fluency has competitive compensation packages, a 401k match, and covers employee life, health, vision, and dental insurance (along with contributions for family members) as well as access to mental health resources and health and wellness programs.

A core part of working at Fluency is the opportunity to make a profound impact on virtually every aspect of our business. In addition to our company doubling in size over the past 18 months, our people—spread across 23 states and counting—have grown stronger individually, departmentally, and culturally.
